Cycling to the Top:
Departure at 10:30 – Rifugio Sapienza
involves ascending from the parking area of the Sapienza Refuge to the summit elevations on an ELECTRIC ASSISTED BIKE. Initially, we will ride on paved roads, then, if the weather permits, we will go off-road in less touristy spots to enjoy a view of the Valle del Bove (one of the most beautiful viewpoints on the island), featuring a drop of over a thousand meters and a view of the Ionian coast. If the day is clear, you may also see Calabria, “the continent,” and the Italian peninsula. You will be accompanied by a guide who, in addition to providing technical assistance, will enrich your experience with explanations and by showcasing the more hidden aspects of the volcano. It is a unique experience that feels like cycling on the moon (approximately 2 hours). Description The tour will begin on the southern side of Etna, at the Sapienza Refuge, at 10:30 AM. It is necessary to arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes prior to the departure time. This proposed tour is on an e-bike along a dirt path, among ancient craters and recent lava flows. Upon reaching the maximum permitted altitude with our guide, you will be able to admire a truly extraordinary panorama: the summit craters of Etna, the Ionian Sea, and the Valle del Bove. The descent will take place along a sandy and exhilarating trail with enduro single tracks, covering a vertical drop of 2,100 meters. Mechanical assistance will be provided for the ascent back to the initial meeting point. From November to March, bike excursions will only be carried out in a private format, upon request, and may not be available due to weather conditions.

Half Day Mountain Biking:
Etna sud at 13:00 – Departure at 13:30
Scenic tour on the southwestern slope of the Etna Park. This route does not require significant effort and is a bit simpler. You will traverse the typical forests of Etna, old lava flows, and various volcanic formations, as well as see examples of traditional bivouacs on Etna before visiting a cave. The entire tour is accompanied by a guide who, as in the previous case, provides technical assistance and enriches the visit with explanations and curiosities. The duration is approximately 3 hours. Visiting Etna by mountain bike is a unique experience that allows you to observe unspoiled landscapes, ancient lava flows, and old extinct craters, passing through oak and pine forests. The temperatures in our region allow us to conduct tours on Etna throughout the year. The proposed route is easily accessible and will follow the first stretch of the Altomontana Trail of Etna. The tour is designed for a pleasant half-day together and includes a round trip circuit, where you will always be accompanied by one of our guides, making it suitable for families as well.
